Grey Crowned Crane (Balearica regulorum); also African Crowned Crane, is a bird in the crane family Gruidae. Native to Africa south of the Sahara. Non-migratory. Subspecies East African B. r. gibbericeps (Crested Crane) occurs from eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo through Uganda, and Kenya to eastern South Africa. Grows to 3.3 ft.
